Halloween Condo Competition 2018 [Results are in!]

It’s finally Halloween!

Results are in!

We’re a big fan of the holiday and we really wanna see what everyone has created to celebrate this year’s Halloween.

So what better way to do that than to have a mini impromptu Condo competition?

Contest Ends November 7th

We’ll announce the winners on November 8th.

1st Place - 250,000 Units
2nd Place - 100,000 Units
3rd Place - 75,000 Units

Rules:

Must be Halloween themed
Must be appropriate content (no nudity, hate speech, etc. gore is fine)
Must post at least 3 pictures of your Condo

We’ll be judging based on creativity and theme.

How To Submit:

Post at least 3 screenshots of your Condo as a reply to this thread as your entry to the contest
Also please include your Steam ID in the submission so we can award you the Units!

Videos are definitely welcome but not required.

Also if you have any lore or story to your Condo design, please share it!

Yes this was literally impromptu and our first official Condo contest, so we’ll figure things out as things go.

Behold! My Glorious Creation! THE PRIZIM PODCAST’S SUPER SPOOKY SPECIAL SHOW STUDIO!

This was crafted for Tower Unite’s #2 Talkshow and was featured on my Halloween show boradcast! We had a great time despite a late start, and I was glad to see so many of our audience members enjoyed!

Since spooky sound emitters exist now, I wanted to make a spooky haunted house in the style of those weird GMod horror maps. It’s a work in progress, but since it isn’t spooky season anymore I’m not going to be working on this until next October.

This is the pathway, leading up to the haunted house.

Here’s a camp near the haunted house. Somebody forgot to clean up after themselves.

Here are the first couple of rooms you see when entering the haunted house. They’re the biggest rooms in the house.

Here’s the TV area.

This is the kitchen area and dining area.

Of course, every kitchen needs a pantry. It looks like a mess, though.

This is the bedroom, next to the TV area. It’s not too spooky besides the footsteps in the corner of the room.

Here’s the bathroom, connected to the bedroom.

This is the ballroom, located on the second floor. This room was only for the richest of people. Some say you can still hear them talking today.

Here’s the hallway, also on the second floor. There’s nothing really special about this room besides a couple of flickering lights and a few doors.

Here’s the lounge. People say that TV is haunted.

This is the fortune teller’s room. You can learn about your future here, if you wish.

I didn’t realize there was a Halloween condo competition (pretty awesome entries so far). Basically, it’s a haunted house that I built with teleporters underneath the art studio condo. It ends with you actually being able to go into the rest of the condo for a Halloween party, which is what I held for this condo.

Here’s a video walkthrough of it. I think it does the condo more justice than screenshots:

Finally, we had a pretty good time! About 40 people showed up (with probably about 20 staying for at least a couple of hours):

I didn’t make it for the purposes of this contest, but I hope everyone likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Decided to try and make mine from the ground up on smooth dirt, that was a really big mistake when you first notice the competition post three days before the deadline, would be nice if we had more time to make our condos.
Seriously don’t do as i did, will give you heart problems, also at best you get a random collection of barely finished rooms and things, thus i gave up.

Still wanted to post what i managed to make in said time so that it isn’t a complete waste.

I tried to make a haunted house but when you look through the television you can see into the ghost dimension. I spent most of the time creating the pixel textures for the floors and walls. Then I had the idea with the tv and began working on that with the time I had remaining.
