2026 Longterm Bug Roundup Thread

Similar to something I reported recently ( [1.1.2.1] Equipping items to hotbar has a chance of disabling other equipped items ) but different:

[Equipping and Un-equipping items does not consistently work]

This does not really happen to me as host, so test in plaza or as a client somewhere else.

This seems most prominent with vehicles but I’ve had it happen with weapons as well. Sometimes when you equip something to the hotbar, it simply does not actually equip. It will be in the hotbar slot, but you will not be able to switch to it. In some cases, the item that was previously in that slot will still be equipped in that slot despite visually the new item being equipped in the hotbar.

Likewise, un-equipping sometimes simply does not un-equip the item. I have a video of this happening since its a bit easier to trigger: In this video the scooter is removed from the hotbar but continues to work. Re-equipping the scooter then un-equipping it again finally successfully works.

Although these hotbar bugs aren’t present 100% of the time, I can replicate them very quickly most of the time in plaza or others condos any time.

Long term issue i do consider a bug:

unloading larger condos (20k) to load a new one will freeze still.

the solution we have talked about is to implement choosing a snapshot on main menu,

not needing to be loaded in to load another. could perhaps be time to implement this now?

Using the magic “Ghost” and “Knight” milestone unlocks from Little Crusaders will randomly desync your model for other players, causing you to appear to be in a completely different place for them.

Does this happen with other transformation milestones like the Raptor Potion, SDNL Motion Potion, or Monster Potion?

Not sure, I don’t have any of the other Transformation unlocks. Think this bug in particular happens when you use lobby teleports like to go into casino or arcade though. It also fixes for affected players if you kill bind, and doesn’t seem to affect all players uniformly within a server. (This is my second Edit because I keep finding more information on this specific bug as I test it in lobby)

Also I suppose quickly another bug I’m not sure has been stated is how you lag back often when using jetpacks, and how after a while of being in a lobby your collisions seem to get offset and you collide with things you jump near while travelling (especially noticeable when going along the paths behind Theatre). I can’t tell if this is because the server interpolation of where I will be or if something similar to the bugs with the ghost and knight transformations.

Another bug I’d like to see fixed in relation to the ghost transformation is the jitter when you jump, that happens due—I would assume as it is not present on Knight—to the low gravity effect it grants.

Oddly this bug can be circumvented by changing your size with potions, and continues being fixed even after de-equipping all size potions.

It happens with the ZM monster potion; I assumed it was the only one affected.

On the continued topic of transformation potion bugs


Bumper cars (and potentially others, I haven’t tested yet) breaks when transformed.

Also attempting to do either taunt as Knight freezes you for a minute, unable to move until the game gives up it seems.

Courtyard Villa’s Pool cover does not keep the change upon loading back in the condo.

This bug regarding dedicated server rules not saving is the worst bug I have issues with, personally.

This bug regarding people with non-latin (I presume) characters in their display name, causing issues for the chat log, and just breaking it for those using the Windows launcher is also still present, at least in the chat log itself. I was not going to mention this one, as I presume its a deeper dive, but Mac had said he was working on a fix for a patch. If that did get shipped, I saw no change on linux, can’t speak for if the chat button is usable on the windows client again, but the actual bug of the non-formatting characters is definately still happening.

I did also notice a pretty significant memory leak or garbage collection failure for the linux build of the dedicated condo, but I’m not going to link that - that would be a much, much deeper dive than is necessary, especially if the first bug I’ve mentioned about rules on dedicated servers (dis/allow jetpack, items that move you, light switches, etc.) get fixed, as once that’s not an issue, a simple cron job can work around the memory leak much easier than it’d be worth figuring that out.
