Games in the Casino ask you if you want to leave early, but games in the Arcade don’t - you instantly leave.
This is a problem for me with Tourette, since I can have a tic and end up hitting the leave button accidentally. Doing this costs me tokens and tickets most of the time.

A simple fix would be to just ask the player if they want to leave. Or, at the very least, require two presses to confirm.

Suggestions for a focus mode on (at least) arcade machines.

1 As a Visually impaired player it can be hard to see my condo inventory items. to the point, I need to get up close to my screen which can be a pain for my back having to lean over.

2 The Ui Scaling Could use an update I know that it exists but it does little to help with the condo inventory. or you could have a custom setting for Item icon Sizes inside of the condo inventory.

Heya! I didn’t know where this would specifically go but I was recommended to put this here but:

As a person who’s screwed up their hands severely and gets cramped easily, maybe an option to toggle the Zoom feature would be great like the option in Gmod Tower to specifically zoom in on the Media Player. It’d be great to have this because I would rather not sacrifice the looks of a condo for Accessibility

Seconding this because I’ve oft just turned my FOV way down to watch media players. Would kill for a toggle zoom.

Mouse walking mode would be a nice addition to be able to walk one-handed. You’d enable this by holding/toggling a button (preferably on the mouse, M3/M4/M5 or replace M2), and while it’s enabled:

  • moving your mouse up walks you forwards
  • moving your mouse down walks you backwards
  • moving it left/right rotates your view left/right as normal (or maybe strafes left/right?)

The movement should probably be continuous relative to the position when you enabled the mode, because it wouldn’t be very accessible to constantly have to be moving the mouse up to walk.

This way, people with hand injuries can use only one hand to walk around, and they wouldn’t need to constantly shuffle their hand between mouse and keyboard. It’d also be nice to interact with doors and such with just the mouse rather than having to press E

The new Ball Race goal/level end/bonus level effects are extremely disorienting to me. The new camera spin, camera swipe transition, and flashing, colorful gradient bar on the top of the screen during the bonus level have all genuinely made me dizzy. A toggle for these new effects would be REALLY appreciated because as it stands, I can’t play Ball Race anymore without feeling nauseated.

honestly, the new rotated ball part confused me as hell, it makes me think my mouse is broken or it’s a bug that happens to me somehow

What resolution do you play on? Could be the top effect takes up too much of your screen compared to what I see.

1366x768, I believe. I’ll have to check later when I have a chance but it’s a fairly low resolution. How does it look for you, for comparison sake?

I’m on 1920 x 1080, so the verticality is much higher which makes the effect not as noticeable on my screen.

certain weapons like the pistol bear the maximum output when the fire button is pressed rapidly, which can be inordinately difficult for people with fine motor disability, damage to their hands/fingers, or to just about anyone after enough repetitive stress. the option to make these weapons ‘pseudo-automatic’ by allowing them to be rapidly fired simply by holding the fire button would do wonders in alleviating this issue.

being able to bind toggle_zoom was extremely useful in gmod, especially for people with crummy eyesight in theaters. True you can just hold the zoom key down, but that gets painful after a while. I’ve always hoped toggle_zoom would come to tower.

Came here from Steam exclusively to point out something obvious: controller support tends to be preferred by those with tendinitis or other motor-related issues. And yes, there’s Steam’s controller configuration, but it’s far from the best solution, especially as it’s impossible to play some games, such as Accelerate due to the game being confused with the bindings.

In all these years, I honestly never understood why you guys just never finished controller support. I get that it’s a daunting task, but it’s better to implement it for each feature as they come out instead of working on everything once the game’s closer to completion. It’ll be a lot more work by then than it’ll be to implement support for specific features as they become available.

Controller support is being actively worked on now. It’s a bit harder to make because Unreal 4 unfortunately has terrible controller support (for its menus) and we have to make a lot of custom solutions. Rest assured though that controller support is getting a big push due to Steam Deck.

The new “Beating heart” and “Throwable beating heart” kinda turns my stomach.
Ironic really but while I’m almost completely desensitized to videogame blood (despite being extremely bothered by blood IRL), realistic organs and guts still bother me.

The issue is people throwing them about in the plaza, and I have to look at them until they fade out.
I don’t know what a solution would be other than include those when turning blood off I guess?

With the gore option turned off: get rid of the blood decal and then just replace the model used, at least for the throwable one, to use the regular heart plush that we have as part of the Arcade milestone. Instead of the loud heartbeat when right clicking you have it could just do the regular plushie squeak. Not sure how something like that could apply to the condo item being a different model/shape and all.

Also, regarding this, it’d probably make sense to have the gore option also block the “flesh” condo material. I’m not turned off by it that much, but I could definitely see others have stronger reactions. Maybe the tooth item too (the halloween item, not the plush).

As far as the condo material and teeth go, I think that falls under UGC, as its avoidable, just don’t go in that condo.
But the hearts are available in the plaza.

Anyway I thought of something a bit later,
Considering its at the toy store maybe it would be best if the realistic heart was just replaced with a comic valentines heart; it can still be beating and put off red sauce on impact but its technically not gore anymore.
