It’s kind of the tragedy of TU/GMT. Everyone has 1-3 things that they really like, and 1-3 things they really don’t care about, and if we’re working on something that’s on the latter list, it feels like nothing’s happening. Like, Arcade was a massive project that a ton of people love, but there are people out there who don’t care about it, and for them, that was a year of nothing happening, essentially.
I enjoy discussing these kinds of things with the players; as long as things stay civil.
As a side-note, I only ever meant for this to be civil. I’m not a monster.
Oh, but I am.
Yeah, my enjoyment of the game has definitely increased since learning to play with whatever’s new. I would’ve never expected to like Billiards as much as I do.
I’m glad you guys give a shit and at least talk to us about it, lol
I know we all just want the game to be good : )
I mainly want to express interest in what feel to me as more core/essential parts of the experience. I think that the game would benefit greatly from focus on server interconnectivity and making sure everyone can interact and congregate easily. Once that bond has been made everybody will be more engaged and excited with everything as a whole, and I think it would create a benefit to the whole game moving forward. There’s an appeal to it, at least for me, when everyone can get excited about new stuff together. Tower Unite’s biggest hurdle right now, in my eyes, is that divide between servers. Things like condo parties and plaza connectivity is a big step. As of right now, I have zero reason to enter the condo lobby- ever. I remember in GMT going to check it out, even if I wasn’t going to my own place. I hear of a party, or overhear compliments of a pretty condo, and go hang out. Tower Unite needs that.
Totally agree. The divided nature of TU has always been a bummer.
I want you to know that I respect this so much, Johanna. Having all the art cohesive adds so much to the game. There is nothing worse than running from one thing to another and thinking “This looks old” or “This must have been made by a different artist”. I don’t think that in Tower Unite so huge kudos to you.
This sure lit a fire
I agree to an extent but there still is quite a few maps that look dated and now that they’ve started making the Plaza look more cartoony, there’s parts the are cartoony and parts that arent. But things are definitely coming together.
Because its not done.
It really did. I’m kinda surprised. I thought for sure a couple people were just gonna tell me to go to hell or something and that’d be the end of it. lol
i feel that this is the best way to describe it, not everyone is going to be happy about a specific feature being worked on instead of another - although I do understand why backers would be upset about not getting rewards since that was a big pull factor behind investing in the development. i do think backer rewards should be higher up on the priority list but I get why so many things have been pushed back
i feel like non-backers are less likely to care as much about the promised features as it wasn’t something that was promised directly to them which might explain why they get voted less in the polls
this is something I couldn’t agree with more, tower unite is an amazing game but it feels so different from gmtower and i don’t think that’s just nostalgia talking - gmt felt a lot tighter knit, clicking through a menu to join a server feels so different from walking up to a friends suite and knocking on their door
a lot of this stuff is planned but it’s pretty far down on the line in terms of priority
Personally I think the only sore thumb in the new Lobby is the lazer tag building, which is already slated for a redesign. There’s a handful of maps that need work, but recently a bunch of revamps have been slowly coming out so things seem okay on that front too.
Oh, I know. Didn’t mean it like it. He mentioned not thinking things look old. I simply mentioned that, to me at least, some things definitely still do but I love the way it’s going.
Ah I gotcha now, thanks for clearing that up.
Yes. This right here. I wouldn’t give a shit about any of this if I wasn’t a backer.
I have Asperger’s, so I don’t words good sometimes. lol
I absolutely cannot wait for the revitalization of the condo lobby and its subsequent improvement in the interconnectedness of the game. We’re getting there, I promise.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
