Weekly Dev Log for July 25th, 2022

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Weekly Dev Log for July 25th, 2022, detailing all the changes that have happened since July 18th, 2022. Note: Devs that don’t appear in the weekly log are not necessarily away or not doing work, but may be working on things currently not announced or backend work that doesn’t need to be detailed.

Accessibility Suggestions

We’ve created a forum post asking the community for suggestions on how we can improve gameplay for players with certain conditions such as colorblindness, dyslexia, or anything else that might affect a players ability to use the standard presentation and controls of the game.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, and possible solutions on how to solve a particular issue, please check out the forum post here.

honestly the coolest thing is the DIY fan, the video showing off what it does feels like a fancy tech demo video that’d be used to showcase engine capabiltiies and stuff. really awesome!!

If you put the fans facing down, you can simulate strong gravity.

When making it, I was actually inspired by an old Source Engine demo (specifically the later parts with barrel plinko)! I think about this demo a lot for some reason…

Tbh if any more gimmick items like fans happen, I may return to this style.
Also while it wasn’t said anywhere in the video, these features will be available to ceiling fans as well.

Are the pipes in the video also gonna be new items? Or are they made from canvases?
