Unable to read global chat

Hey, I’m having an issue with global chat. I can send messages and others can see them, but none appear on my end. I only see global messages as speech bubbles above players’ heads. This has been happening since global chat was released. I’ve tried reinstalling the game and toggling all the settings on and off.
Am I possibly shadowbanned or is this a bug?

You have no bans on your account, and you can’t get banned from seeing the global chat. I’m not sure what the connection issue would be but I’d disabling any VPNs if you can to see if that has any change.
