System requirements for running a dedicated condo on Linux?

Hey, I was just wondering what the system requirements (or even recommendations) are to running a dedicated condo on Linux.

The Linux guide states that only Debian and Ubuntu have been tested, I’m looking to run one using Debian 11 so no issues there.

The only other requirement the guide mentions is that 4GB of storage is needed. There is no mention of CPU and RAM requirements. I’m assuming an x64 system is required.

Does someone know what the requirements are?

Thank you!

This isn’t the most scientific of requirements, but I can give you just observations from what we run Plaza side.

The Plaza tends to use anywhere from 2-4GB of RAM.

As for CPU, while i don’t know a minimum, I’d end up going for whatever can get you the best single core performance, core count doesn’t really matter unless you’re going to run multiple of them on the same box. In our experience, VPS’s are find for smaller or less frequently visited Plaza’s but especially in environments where the CPU is shared across multiple other machines (as is common in a VPS environment), you’re going to start to have a bad time the more players who join it.

A 64 bit OS is required.

Hope this answered a few questions? All this being said, I personally haven’t run a large dedicated condo, and don’t know how that could affect RAM usage, but as far as the CPU end goes, I believe my suggestion of the most powerful single core performance you can find should still apply.

This definitely helps, seems like a dedicated CPU is the way to go. Time for some experimentation.

Thanks!
