[Solved - already exists] SDNL: Standardized playermodels and hitboxes

I hate to say it, but custom models shouldn’t be in an FPS gamemode.

It gets old fast playing against folks with incorrectly rigged workshop models of different heights and sizes, having to guess where their head hitbox is at (if their model even has a head). Half the time it feels like your shots go right through people due to the inconsistency.

Laser tag forces you into a stock model in order to ensure a fair game, and so should SDNL.

I think a large part of SDNL’s charm for a lot of people is that you can play an arena shooter as anyone on the workshop, so I kinda doubt that’ll ever be fully removed or disabled by default. There is at least a setting to disable workshop models on your end, though (Content → Workshop Settings → Workshop Player Models in SDNL).

Gonna be honest I had no idea that was even a setting, wow! It’s been a while since I’ve played so that must have been added during the time I was gone.

Thank you so much, that actually solves the issue.
