I have a suggestion about the sliding in SDNL. Can we be able to hold the slide button in the air and as soon as the player lands on the ground they transition into a slide? I think it would make sliding a lot smoother in SDNL.
Bump; as it stands, the slide feels inconsistent at best. Having it be bufferable would make it feel like an actually useful maneuver. Right now I never slide since bunnyhopping is so much more reliable (even if it requires kinda spamming space Source-style). This would at least make it an option on what a better movement option is since one is an immediate boost in speed with less control of sliding versus the slower speed gain but more movement of bunnyhopping. It’d also help with the sometimes unreliable netcode of SDNL. Right now, trying to slide after landing is a hard gamble on whether it registers; having it buffered would at least make it reliable without having to hit a perfect slide that’s near-impossible to hit consistently.
