Another two successful months! We had a few hiccups in the February condo, but I’m proud of this community for always coming through no matter what. I’ll see you all again on 2024-04-13T14:30:00Z

Screenshot Condo Farewell Tour
They say all good things come to an end at some point, and this event is no exception to that sentiment. After almost 3 long years of hosting the Monthly Community Screenshot in Tower Unite, both myself and our Condo Admin team is ready to move on to bigger unannounced projects. This was a really tough decision to make as we had originally considered ending the event abruptly with no prior warning, if not passing the torch onto another Condo Admin. However, after having some extra internal chats with both our Creative Director and MVP Condo Admin from 2024, we felt it’d be better to end it on a higher note by formally announcing it’s pending hiatus.
There’s a lot of questions to be had, so I’ll do my best to answer as many questions as possible in this singular post.
Why stop now?
Funnily enough, the MCS started as a result of me wanting to not play the game back in 2022. I originally wanted to take one big picture just as a sendoff after I got tired of dealing with the same community issues I highlighted in my Steam Review for Tower Unite. When I got encouraged to keep doing the event, I decided to make it a regular event, something that’d be remembered forever even if I stopped playing Tower Unite. After all, that was my goal once I was gifted the game by a loved one.
However, our team started to notice that the adversity we would face when running this event became more prevalent as time went on. It got to a point where it was way too difficult to ignore, and a lot of us were either growing bored or just tired of the game and greater community (both in and out of our event) as a whole. Video games are supposed to be fun at the end of the day, so there’s no point in playing them if they aren’t fun.
At one point, I decided to start the closed beta of a new event project related to the MCS alongside other events that we’re aiming to finish sometime in early-mid 2026. A lot of us fell in love with it so much that there was a sense of dread having to go back to Tower Unite to continue the MCS, and that’s where the ultimate decision to take a hiatus came into play. In addition to all that, my new job simply doesn’t let me run the event the way I’d like to.
Will there be no more screenshot condos?
Not necessarily! With this new event project, we will be able to give the MCS a new boom of life that has yet to be seen with any TU-focused event. One thing is for sure: when this event returns, it will most likely not be in Tower Unite. We just need to take an indefinite hiatus from hosting Tower Unite events to focus on the greater parts of this unannounced project.
When is it all over?
Monthly Community Screenshot #36 held on August 16th, 2025 will be the host of the last officially supported Monthly Community Screenshot. Afterwards, you will likely not see me in Tower Unite for MCS reasons in particular. Once we’ve taken this screenshot, we’ll post the Smooth Dirt and Art Studio variants of the venue on the Workshop so you can experience what the venue was like all on its own with zero restrictions as to where you can go.
TL;DR
- These next 2 screenshots will be the last 2 on Tower Unite, but not the end of the event necessarily.
- We’re on hiatus because of both work and team-related reasons
- There is a secret new event project that hasn’t been released but is a current WIP.
- MCS #36 on August 16th, 2025 is the last screenshot

IMPORTANT SCREENSHOT CONDO TIME CHANGES & RESCHEDULES
Due to the unpredictable nature of life, the PM screenshot’s time slot going forward has been indefinitely changed to be later than before. In addition, June’s 2025 Monthly Community Screenshot #34 has been rescheduled from its original date as seen in the Google Calendar.
New PM Time Slot
Starting on 2025-06-08T00:30:00Z, all PM Monthly Community Screenshot pre-shows will take place at 8:30 PM EST. This time may be subject to changes due to the nature of my career. Previously, the PM MCS pre-show would take place at 6:30 PM EST due to the lack of a busier schedule. However, with these new restrictions in place, I cannot reasonably keep the previous time as I did before. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience to all of those who are affected by this change.
June 2025 Community Screenshot Reschedule
Monthly Community Screenshot #34 has been rescheduled to be held on June 7th, 2025. The Google Calendar and PixelTail Forums have already been updated to reflect these changes, but I will not be in town during the weekend of the 14th, meaning that the event has to be rescheduled. There is a chance I’m still out of town for the following weekend too, so the only Saturday we had left to choose from was the first Saturday of the month. Again, I’m really sorry any inconvenience this may have caused, but life comes first and we will live on.
Thank you for your continued support, and we’ll see you on picture day!
With the power of the gay-os emeralds, we present to you: Monthly Community Screenshot #34!
We’ll see you on July 12th for Monthly Community Screenshot #35!
Monthly Community Screenshot: Claim your stake
As we slowly approach the end of our Screenshot Condo Farewell Tour, we decided to introduce a way for you to get your name permanently listed in all of the final venues showcased within the Farewell Tour; this means you can get your name featured in the venues for June 2025 (MCS #34), July 2025 (MCS #35), and August 2025 (MCS #36). So how does it work?
Engraving your name
There are two ways to get your name showcased within our venue:
- Become a Server Booster for The Tower Hub! By boosting our server, you not only are able to help us keep our Custom Invite URL, but you’ll be able to help us in the future as servers gain more features and benefits from users subscribed to Discord Nitro. Our goal is to be able maintain our Level 3 boosted status while also equipping a new Server Tag to help represent our community across all of Discord.
- You must keep your Server Boost active until we publish all condos to the workshop later in August
- Your spot is permanent once we have completed all workshop uploads.
- Become a Server Supporter for The Tower Hub! When you become a server supporter, you help us pay for the things that directly benefit you: plush giveaways, keeping the lights on for bots like Trover, formerly known as Hampter Ball, and new things like merchandise for the community.
- All Server Supporters will also have the opportunity to have their profile picture of choice featured in addition to their name. It’s our way of extending our thanks to you for your long-time support.
- You must keep your Server Supporter status active until we publish all condos to the workshop later in August
- Your spot is permanent once we have completed all workshop uploads.
TL;DR
- Boost The Tower Hub to get your name cemented in the screenshot condo venues after it ends!
- Be a server supporter to get your name and profile picture of choice cemented in the screenshot condo venues after it ends!
With all that being said, we present to you: Monthly Community Screenshot #35
Monthly Community Screenshot: Reflections & Memories
As the dust settles in and the tides fall, I’m finally able to put all of my emotions into one massive post. I first want to thank every single person who took part in the Screenshot Condo in some way shape or form. Whether if you were one of the many Condo Admins we had, regular attendee, or just a one-time attendee, you helped become a part of something great that I will remember and talk about for the rest of my life.
There were a lot of laughs, a lot of tears, and—for some—a lot of love that was able to come out of the MCS. I still find it hard to fathom how this event was both directly and indirectly changed the lives of certain people’s day-to-day lives. Nonetheless, I want to go over some of my favorite memories from the whole event series in its lifetime.
Favorite Memories
There’s a lot of moments that were my favorite that I still talk about to this day. However, I think it’d be best first to start by breaking it down by portions of the show.
Top 5 Favorite Pre-Shows
- August 2024 - Monthly Community Screenshot #24 by far is my favorite pre-show. With a fully voiced cutscene, contributions by all builders in the record store, and referring to the community members themselves; I can confidently say that this was the peak of the Screenshot Condo’s life cycle.
- October 2023 - Monthly Community Screenshot #14 also has one of the best pre-show areas. With a full grand mansion akin to Resident Evil and a full coffin entrance, this was an event you really had to be there for as Particle FX had yet to be added and we had a fantastic job for improvisations for that show.
- October 2024 - Monthly Community Screenshot #26 was also fucking amazing to me. I think the whole village idea as executed really well, and I don’t think we wouldn’t have done as great of a job if it wasn’t for both @Aviarius and @DocFortuna taking the helm on that. I also want to thank @goowose for providing the facial texture of their Catsack.EXE workshop model so we could improve condo performance before shipping it out. This one, while not my favorite pre-show of all time, is certainly worthy of a Top 5 spot.
- December 2023 - Monthly Community Screenshot #16 also holds a special place in my heart as we were able to help create a storyline involving the dragon that was frozen away under a spell before Particle FX were added into the game. It was also one of the most robust condos we’ve ever created.
- December 2024 - Monthly Community Screenshot #28 was not only the ending of the storyline involving the ice dragons, but it was also my personal first time using movers and really showcasing my skills in the finer details. The boss battle that used both SFX and Particle FX was by far the most monotonous portion of the build, but it was a clear necessity in our pre-show to help bring the boss battle alive. This boss fight is not available on the workshop upload, but I may add it if requested enough. Big shoutouts to sammi_wammi for spearheading the pre-show venue.
Honorable Mentions:
- September 2023 - Monthly Community Screenshot #13 was also really funny because of the moment we used in Player Testimonials 2024
- March 2023 - Monthly Community Screenshot #7 also had some funny running gags that I have with my friends to this day, but it’s also where I really got to know my now-spouse, so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
- June 2023 - Monthly Community Screenshot #10 has a place in my heart because it taught me how the show must go on even when my internet goes out. We worked as a team for HOURS to get it working, and the fact that we did it in the first place will always prove the resolve that we have as a team.
Top 5 Favorite Mainline Screenshots
- September 2024 - Monthly Community Screenshot #25 by far has one of the coolest day/night transitions I’ve ever seen in a condo. The fact that I can say I made it is something that I will brag about for quite sometime. I hope to see someone take it up a notch like I did.
- March 2024 - Monthly Community Screenshot #19 is also up there in terms of the greats with how we attributed to our team within the screenshot itself. Genuinely a genius idea by one of our former team members, and I cannot thank them enough for their input with ideas.
- December 2022 - Monthly Community Screenshot #4 is the beginning of our team’s development. It’s where I learned how to everything canvas-related to this day, and I’m forever thankful for this turning point in the MCS history.
- August 2025 - Monthly Community Screenshot #36 really helped show me how far the event has come just by building it the way I did. A little fun fact about the photo is that I solo-built it to match what we did for the first three screenshots because of the theme
Nostalgia. You can definitely see some clear improvements in my major build style, but I kept it as simple as possible just to keep it true to the simple nature of the old screenshots. - April 2024 - Monthly Community Screenshot #20 not only felt like a party in the screenshot, but everything from the sound design to the actual after party proved that this was a fantastic screenshot.
