Libretro Completely Black Screen

I’ll give a rundown on what I’m using, the situation below that.

CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
VRAM: 34GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
OS: Windows 11
Display: 3840 x 2160 x 59 hertz x2
Version of Tower Unite: (0.18.6.0) Build 17103990

As for my situation, I can’t play any game at all on Libretro, been mainly trying MGBA, DeSmume, Never had this problem with my older PC, but as soon as I try to load a game, it gets stuck on a black screen, can’t go into the settings at all, re-loading the game, re-installing it or, or even verifying it doesn’t fix it at all, is why I’m now posting about it here, need help on this situation, since I don’t know what else to do, the information I’ve found for this is very vague, I don’t know where else to turn for this situation.

To add I get the fuzzy effect, when it shows a media player, but then loading a game, just makes it go to a black screen, stays stuck there, Switching the game does the same thing.

I don’t know if I’ll likely get any help with this or if anything can be done, but please if anyone knows how to fix this, I’d appreciate it, thank you.

Same here! I have been trying to fix it but no solution yet.

So I’ve likely found a fix to this or a update has fixed it but I think it has something to do with directX, for me, I got 9.0 lately and it fixed it, but I’m just making this reply comment as information that I’ve got it working again, which I’m glad, don’t know if the directX thing will be helpful but still just wanted to update with that I’ve got it working again.

This may have been caused by a update to the core downloader I rolled out on the 16th of January.

Basically, I accidentally broke a function where on new installs of the game, the core downloader couldn’t make the correct folder to dumps the cores into, and no cores would be installed. It worked on existing installs, but not new ones. In addition to that, I had accidentally broke extracting newer cores.

The 0.18.7.0 update included a fixed core downloader, which should now install the cores to the proper locations and allow them to be used in the game.
