I purchased the game just about a day ago, and when I launched the game, it would show a black screen for a couple seconds, and then crash. I tried changing the launch settings (DirectX11 to DirectX10), verifying game files, reinstalling the game, and still to no avail. The game would still crash on startup.
My Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce MX250
Driver Ver. 460.89
Intel® Core™ i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz
16GB RAM
I would try re-downloading / updating your graphics drivers.
One thing I would also check if this is a laptop, is making sure the game is set to use the dedicated graphics device. Some laptops have utilities that will switch between dedicated graphics and integrated graphics depending on the program being run.
I did update the graphics driver to the latest update, and set the game to use the GeForce graphics card and not the integrated one. In the end, it’s still the same result 
I tried other methods that I searched like setting the computer to performance mode, and it still crashes. From what I searched so far, I don’t see a concrete solution to this, but I hope that I am wrong about that.
