I recently downloaded the game, and every time i try to launch, the game immediately crashes.
when i check the crash report it returns this in the crash report under ErrorMessage:
Assertion failed: [File:Unknown] [Line: 4232]
Trailing magic number (0d) in '../../../Tower/Content/Paks/._pakchunk0optional-WindowsNoEditor.pak' is different than the expected one. Verify your installation.
I’ve tried:
- Verifying the installation
- deleting the effected files and verifying it again
- Redownloading the game
- switching steam download servers and redownloading the game
- creating a new windows install and redownloading the game on another steam server
- verifying the game files again
I’m running the game on a Macbook via Crossover, so i realize that could also cause some issues, but according to other people playing w/ crossover the game runs fine for them.
