Forums incompatible with Steam's overlay browser

I do not know where to put this really.

I used to avidly browse the forums while playing the game, there are even buttons on the pause menu to take you to them via the steam overlay but cannot anymore as the forums no longer support Steam’s old version of Chromium in the steam overlay browser, in fact even freeze the overlay before I can close it.

Steam probably won’t ever upgrade (despite messing everything else up in the name of “improvement”)

Would a backward-compatibility mode be possible for the site?

obviously nobody from pt has responded yet so idk what they’re capable of doing for this problem, but if it turns out to be nothing, it might be worth taking it to the forums of the system they use to see if you can get the problem solved at its source
