I just downloaded the game today and whenever I go to a friends condo steam automatically downloads all Their custom items instead of just loading them in. The same thing happens in the plaza, It automatically downloads everyone’s player models
That’s how the functionality works, it temporarily downloads the models off of the Workshop before loading them in.

To add to the above: if you wish to turn all Workshop support off, you can do so in the content settings, then under the Workshop tab, by turning off Workshop Mods.

Oh right, thanks. I was confused because my friends told me they were just supposed to load in not download.
