what im trying to achieve is a dark night sky, like very very dark, black.
in my images im showing how bright the sky is with 100% cloud coverage, moon intensity to 0%
second image shows what a canvas dome set to black encompassing my map does, this is the limit i can make it as my map is quite large, it has this weird… cut off effect and doesn’t look great overall
third image is the best attempt ive managed which was with a canvas hemisphere, allowed a bit more freedom but unfortunately suffers the same bright blue effect
Prior to Halloween 2020, it was possible to make your condo completely pitch black at night. Something changed with the overall sky lighting and fog settings since then and I’ve been eagerly awaiting a reversal of this change.
We are working on a feature that will let you completely change the sky settings. This will disable day/night and let you adjust sky settings, fog settings, etc. We’re planning on it being an IO volume you can place so you can change the sky in different ways indoor and outdoor.
