Attempting to join a public lobby (Plaza, Game worlds, Condos) gives this error message:
This is followed by both the game and steam completely crashing
So far I’ve tried verifying the game files as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times but the issue still persists.
The message literally says you have to restart steam - usually what’s happening in my experience is steam isn’t actually dead, the process is still alive, there’s just no front end GUI up anymore. You have to completely kill steam, and then start it back up.
This error does not occur if both Steam and Tower Unite are started through the terminal. It’s just a tad bit tedious but it’s a solution nonetheless.
That usually is the case with these kinds of errors but the thing with this one is that Steam already completely shuts down once the error pops up. Steam won’t be running in the background anywhere and when it’s started up again it’ll be as a fresh-start.
