[0.13.5.0] Difficulty Equipping Fishing Rod and Metal Detector?

Hello, I seem to be having difficulty equipping my metal detector and fishingrRod and thus cannot respectively participate in the treasure hunt and fishing activities, respectively. Seemingly when I equip these, they just simply do not show up at all, yet there are no issues equipping my moped or my jetpack. I recorded some video to demonstrate my issue.

I also acknowledge the following topic on being unable to equipping fishing rods. For both metal detectors and fishing rods, I tried repeating these steps with both the metal detector and fishing rods unsuccessfully.

Cannot figure out how to equip fishing rod?

Thanks. Not sure what the issue was. I rejoined and tried all those and still didn’t work so I joined a different server and then it did work.

Might I be missing something?

Wearables auto equip but for usable items you gotta press the number of the slot you equipped it to
