Here’s something I thought about while wondering around the plaza.
I’m not sure if this has been suggested before but maybe we could have some sort of music item such as a radio which lets you queue up music (just like a TV lets you queue videos) and you can adjust the radius in which that audio could be heard.
This would be great for condos since we would be able to play different types of music in different areas (such as dance music in a nightclub room or a chilling ambiance for outside on the beach). The only music player we have now (the TV) can be heard throughout the condo so by adding a radio it would make the game music more immersive.
Another thing I noticed was how none of the buildings have their own music playing to add to the atmosphere (except for shops but they all have the same song) . Maybe we could start getting unique background songs playing for different areas such as the casino, bowling, arcade, etc.

There was a radio item in GMT that I imagine will make a comeback, but I don’t see it coming to the plaza, since it could be used to just annoy people and spam.
As for the music in different buildings, I would say that’s the highlight of this suggestion, and I fully back that idea.
Yeah forget bringing it to the plaza as an active item, that would be annoying as hell; I was thinking more along the lines of it only being used by the person who owns the condo, this way you can change the atmosphere any way you want without anyone interrupting
I dunno about queuing up music in the lobby, but I’d be down if the Towers team composed some BGMs for different areas of the plaza. ESPECIALLY the casino.
It would be excellent if players could define and name regions of their condo (probably possible via a condo editor or custom condo map) in which these zone-based music items would only be audible within. In my opinion, the zone-based music item should be able to loop its audio file or playlist of audio files (whether it be a YouTube video or whatever) so unique BGM can be used for any region. A volume slider would be awesome if there doesn’t exist one already.
Aside from the condos, the Plaza has various buildings in which ambient noise (and/or BGM) would be awesome. In GMT the Arcade had various arcade machine sounds playing over eachother, and the Toystop had that train… I agree, though the random Plaza music is great, the entire Plaza could use more ambient SFX like birds and trees and BGM for each building to sound more alive.
I agree with this idea completely but i think it should be able to choose who’s stuff you listen to and who’s you don’t and it’ll say the name of who’s playing something, and if you mute the wrong one, you can unmute them and so forth and of course an option to only listen to friend’s radios
