ZM rebalance changes

I’ve been playing solo on ZM (mostly trying to reproduce a bug) and I noticed that playing solo is much more difficult and I think it isn’t made to be played on solo. So I have some suggestions.

For Single Player mode only

  • Zombies should uncommonly drop a healing kit as it is impossible to heal yourself unless you play Doctor or Scientist. Or a very slow health regen.

  • Zombies’ health or spawn rate should be lower as zombies spawn so much faster more than you can kill on average; even with maxed upgrades. Red demons and werewolves especially needs to have way less health.

  • Weapon drops should be slightly commoner as it seemed so much rarer on single player mode making it harder to keep up with killing zombies before you get overwhelmed and killed.

[Please play ZM on single player mode any two different maps that isn’t Trainyard and tell me what you think about these suggestions] :slight_smile:

General suggestions for ZM

  • It’d be nice to see further south on the bottom of screen; sometimes I get attacked/killed on accident because I couldn’t see what’s coming from south.
  • Ghosts should have a short delay before attacking (with small indicator animation) instead of instantly spamming projectiles. This change allows players to have a better chance to react and dodge.
  • Finally, players should have a very small radius that prevents enemies from spawning where they are; no one likes being forced to die from enemies appearing instantly under you. haha

I’ve gotten killed from unfair spawns + when ghost spawned in front of me; attacked me instantly before I could have the chance to react. Hence why I suggested that ghosts should have a short delay before attacking- this can make ghosts less annoying too.

If we’re able to dodge and stay alive longer; this can make game more playable on solo and with others as well that prefers not to play Doctor & Scientist class.

My only suggestion is that the self-destructing pumpkin enemies should be less common when playing solo, especially on maps that are not Very Hard difficulty. I’ve died several times just due to having 6 or 7 of them on screen at once before I had max movement speed, and their presence alone makes me have to completely rework the way I play when I play solo.

I do like the idea that enemies shouldn’t spawn directly adjacent to you though. They should pick a spot that’s not within a radius around each player. I also like having the camera moved slightly south so you can see in that direction a bit more.

Yeah in singleplayer those pumpkins are extremely frustrating. You basically gotta knock them out immediately or use a power immediately.

Yes please, the ghosts are easily the enemy I die to the most because of how fast they spam their attack.

That and when I run out of ammo in a gun while holding LMB and it switches me back to my pistol but doesn’t start firing until I let go and press LMB again.
