I have a lot of workshop uploads and sometimes I need to update some old ones, to do this I need to scroll down the uploads list and wait for it to fetch my old uploads in batches which is a bit time consuming.
A search bar could alleviate this problem making it easy for creators who have uploaded tons of models to look up a specific one they wanna update without having to manually look for it in the list.
EDIT: I could probably report this as a bug but I feel like mentioning it here along with this suggestion makes a bit of sense.
Workshop Uploads that have a long name make the text overlap with the filesize, this problem could be tackled along with the implementation of the aforementioned search bar
I also wanted to say that a search bar for the Imports tab would be nice as well. And I wanted to suggest something else for better organization: Folders
I also have a bunch of uploads that I have to scroll through, often from the same series, and often the characters from said series have different outfits. I’d like to organize everything with folders and subfolders but currently it isn’t possible.
Adding to the latter long name issue, it also happens in the Imports tab, with the addition that the animation test tab could get offscreen if the name of the .plymodel file is too long.
Usually what I do for keeping stuff organized is having a “Workshop Dump” folder where I send any models I don’t need in the MY IMPORTS tab to keep it mostly empty.
You can even do this inside the “built/Player Models” folder to hide models.
Would be cool for said folders to show up in the Editor since that would help keeping both the MY UPLOADS and MY IMPORTS tab organized.
You’re right regarding the long filename issue on the MY UPLOADS tab I have run into that same issue a couple of times.
