I better get to be an attack helicopter or I will be triggered. >:I
Joke aside, we chose not to have pronouns to also explain what gender the skeleton or dinosaur models are. The answer is an easy one: they have no gender.
On that topic, what kind of options do you think we could see in terms of body types and customisation?
Will there be body types/customisations that swing more towards one end of masculine/feminine?
And on-topic, will there be any types/customisations with breasts? Wow I’ve never felt so weird asking about boobs.
Clarifying that, I’m the kind of person that likes to remake themselves in games, if possible, and I think it means so much more in a heavily social-oriented game. I’m all for equality, but my main concern over genderless characters is not being able to look like a normal female human.
(For some reason this reply went to @Michael despite quoting Mac, lol. I’ll just leave this ping here @macdguy)
If that means I could customize my character to look like Robert Paulson I would kiss you.
I find it a bit odd, but understandable, why you don’t want to acknowledge gender though. Since you (according to the replies in this thread) will be able to physically modify your character to either look like a more masculine or feminine character anyways…
I’m guessing it will turn out like (first game I remember of the top of my head) Minecraft. Where everything is gender-less, though everyone kind of knows what gender things are and will act accordingly.
Trigger warning:
I guess these days gender is a social construct anyways.
So what are the two body types called? I mean, there are still only two biological genders, male and female. The “mental gender” (I forget what it’s called I just woke up) is the topic of debate. Personally, I think players should be able to identify as whatever gender they believe themselves to be, but I still wonder what the “male” and “female” bodies will be called.
TRIGGERED
I’m triggered by the fact that you revealed the spoiler content in your quote.
Masculine and feminine.
Plus, sex really isn’t a thing in Tower Unite as neither character has reproductive organs.
Basically, we’re letting people decide how they want to be called. It’s really up to the end user to determine that.
