Question: Why do you hate Mario Kart: Super Circuit? It was an underrated gem!
Answer: The reason why I hated Mario Kart: Super Circuit for the GameBoy Advance is because this is my first Mario Kart game I ever own, and disliked it during my childhood.
The biggest reason why I hate this game so much is because it has so many cons I can easily come across while playing the game during my childhood:
- The sprites are ripped from Mario Kart 64, except downgraded.
- The tracks are very similar to Super Mario Kart, and it’s terrible.
- The driving controls are super slippery, making hard to control the steering.
- The game almost sold 6 million copies, making the 2nd worst selling Mario Kart game of all-time. (3rd worst is Double Dash, 1st worst is Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit)
- No single player Battle Mode against CPUs.
- I never unlocked both the Special and Retro courses after beating the game.
I know a lot of Mario Kart fans enjoy Super Circuit, but I still hate this game so much even I want to travel all the way to Japan just to punch Miyamoto in the face, thus deseving his own medicine. But that’s a story for another time.
