How is it like? Is it more like a professional company, or a bunch of friends? Both?
Asking out of my personal curiosity.
While I don’t work with them, from what I’ve observed, its a bunch of friends making games. They have incorporated into a company, and have official working hours, and they have to work on the clock, ect ect, but the work ethic I believe is very friendly. Again, from what I have observed.
Friendly, casual, but always on task. We are good at what we do and everyone on the team relies on everyone else.
We also love to yell and scream at each other over small details until we reach a solution that everyone agrees on. Like we recently yelled about the virtual world genre and if the game was called pool or billiards.
We are friends and we are professionals. It’s my dream job because I get to work on cool shit all day and with cool dudes.
Everyone is constantly making awesome stuff that often blows me away.
We do have clocked hours. We work 10am till 5pm every weekday (1 hour for lunch).
That should be the definition of the term “group activity”.
More of a “bonding session” than anything.
Pool is a kind-of ruleset of Billiards.
Pool games:
- 8 Ball
- 9 Ball
- 14.1
- One pocket
Billiards games:
- Pool
- Snooker
- English pool
- 3-cushion billiards
- Russian billiards
- Italian 5-pin
- etc.
