Weekly Dev Log for March 23rd, 2018
Hello everyone, and welcome to the Weekly Dev Log for the week of March 23rd, 2018. If you haven’t heard, we’ve recently retired our old Daily Dev Log in favor of the Weekly Dev Log, which will allow us to give a broader picture and explain things in plain English, while also including some photos from development. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Tower Unite 0.4.2.0 Update
During this week we released the Tower Unite 0.4.2.0, which came with some brand new items and some bug fixes. You can read all about it here.
Zombie Massacre
Maps
@Lifeless continued working on Trainyard.
Weapons
The main focus of this week for Zombie Massacre was on weapons, both models and their code. @Matt created the model for the Medieval Sword this week, and @Madmijk worked on the RPG Projectile. @macdguy started implementing the weapon code. This week, he finished the weapon code for the Handgun, Magnum, Tommy Gun, Uzi, Baseball Bat, Katana, Axe, Chainsaw, Medieval Sword, Retro Guitar, Guitar, Sledge Hammer, M4A1, and the Minigun. He’s currently working on the Flamethrower code.

Upcoming Furniture
@joshua has continued adding items that are used in various places around the game. This week, he added the Restaurant Booth, the Satellite Dish, Large Open Refrigerator, Outdoor Trash Bin, Outdoor Modern Bench, Gallery Bench, Large Fluorescent Table, Tall Round Table, Short and Long Display Shelves, Shoe Rack, and a Wood Panel Bench.
Steam Workshop Progress
Material importing for skeletal meshes now works and skeletal mesh bone importing is done. There’s still work left to be done, but progress is going well.
Miscellany
@macdguy and @Caboose700 started looking into bugs with the upcoming Minigolf Physics. @Caboose700 also looked into fixing issues with the timers in the plaza.
