I’m happy to see new ways to support the devs! I was starting to run out of friends to convince to buy the game
I also think the Patron tag is a very fair benefit. It’s something exclusive, but it has literally 0 impact on the game. Even if it could be called a ‘cosmetic’, since it isn’t a wearable, it won’t affect your appearance either.
That said, I hope the devs consider adding a way for a player to hide tags. Having both the backer tag and the patron tag might make it a bit awkward to display on the leaderboards.

I see nothing bad in this, in my opinion “in-game tag” is the best way to thank people who support PixelTail and TU itself. It also would let community know who help this breathtaking game and devs live.

I won’t be supporting this myself for the time being but I completely understand the reasoning. The game has some issues but 15 bucks is still seriously underselling it.

I know the topic above has already been beaten into the ground but yeah honestly I just don’t see what the issue with the patreon is. Like, all this over an in-game tag? Really?
The whole point of the Ko-fi / Patreon is to support the devs and game development, and the tag is a thank you for it. It’s a reward, not a product.
I missed the chance to back the game before because I didn’t know it existed (and missed out on those sweet items). I’ll throw my support in now! $8 tier!

When you choose a tier, you can increase the amount you’d like to donate above 8$, if you’d like.
We can offer more tiers if people really want to be able to see that they can donate more, but it is an option already.
Its great your reaching out for further support guys. I for one can’t support you with a subscription but I don’t mind if you guys need to do it.
I personally disagree think tags ingame/discord, why can’t people just be purely supportive? Yeah its going to get your more support but honestly all it does is create hierarchy and inevitably feeds ego.
It’s purely just a thank you from them. Not sure I’d agree that it’s much of a major incentive for anyone or advantage of any kind that your name is orange or you get a name tag.
Be grateful they didn’t stuff the Patreon full of legitimate perks that give you exclusive content or advantages.
I’m curious, To the people who donate on Patreon and eventually stop donating via the subscription. Will the people who stop donating keep some sort of “Ex-Patreon” tag?
