If you’re a regular on the TU discord, you’re probably very aware of this already, but I uploaded two game world maps to the workshop in the past week. I’m really happy with how both of them turned out, so I wanted to share them here, too.
Virus - Dead Mall
This is a mid-sized Virus map; compared to official ones, it’s probably similar to something like Hospital or Desertion. It was designed primarily for the classic Virus mode, but it works with Horde mode too. I had to make like 20 custom images for it and it was a fun time.
Obviously I’m biased because I made it, but I really like this map. There’s a few large rooms and open spaces, but there aren’t really any spots that feel safe to stay in and there’s enough side areas and flank routes that it’s very rare to get “stuck” or cornered. If you mostly play the vanilla maps but want to try something new, you’d probably enjoy this.
Minigolf - November
A seasonally appropriate golf course in an autumnal meadow. There’s 18 holes (7 with possible hole-in-ones), often with ramps and half-pipes incorporated into their design. Most of them aren’t very difficult or complex, but I think they’re fun.
I only started working on this one shortly after uploading Dead Mall, so there was a worryingly fast turnaround time for this.
