Upcoming Accelerate SDK Suggestions

Been tinkering with ideas for Accelerate maps recently, and wanted to suggest a few things I think would be incredibly useful to have for the toolkit.

  • Invisible style for Accelerate Start Line: useful if you want to build your own finish line
  • Adjustable starting positions for Accelerate Start Line: Adjustable sliders to bring the kart positions closer or further apart, for building wider and narrower tracks
  • Support for tracks that have a specific start and end and do not loop. Think Mount Wario from MK8

  • Toggles to exclude specific items from the Item Pickup pool
  • Fixed item drops for Item Pickups: Toggle that allows the Item Pickup object to always give a specific item, similar to the Weapon Pickup. Item Pickup could display the selected item inside

  • Battle game types: Free-for-all, Team Battle, Elimination, King of the Hill etc. use items to blow up your friends, or compete for an objective, player/team with the highest score at the end wins. Could be forced on for maps tailor made for battle modes and unavailable for maps that aren’t
