So for someone like myself, a 33 year old adhd high functioning autistic and a dependant living with their family, who is also unable to have a job due to this, I DO NOT have access to a phone of my own, and my mother doesn’t really like letting me use her cell number for things, so the fact that the discord REQUIRES one to have a cell number/phone number to verify that you aren’t a bot/spammer/troll/whatever make it hard for someone like myself, because I am Literally UNABLE to perform verification process. I’m also certain there are others like myself in a similar situations who can’t use the PixelTail’s TowerUnite because of this method. now i’m not saying they have to change it, but i would really prefer they’d use a timed method, and hell to be honest i’d put up with waiting 6 hours just to be able to start chatting on the discord.
Discord doesn’t give us many options to combat bots unfortunately and this setting has to be on to cut down on bots. We do have a way to manually override the phone verification, so if you can DM me here with your Discord account I can do that for you.
