I don’t think it’s a question of “should” but rather is it even technically, financially, or even legally possible to do this with paid streaming services. YouTube and SoundCloud are essentially free services, and I heard Netflix got rid of it’s public API almost a decade ago.

there was a really long explanation for it but if i remember correctly the tl;dr is that the kind of streaming codecs that allow for these sites to be able to be embedded have licensing fees that are per user which in the end will become incredibly expensive for the devs as opposed to using the stock chromium which has the more basic codec built in, so this isnt something thats likely to happen

oh i forgot to mention: these kinds of services WILL require a login (ex. netflix, spotify) and i highly doubt the devs will implement something like allowing you to enter your account credentials into tower for this to be possible
Honestly the closest we’ll ever get is if we have a web browser for media players.
If it’s something like what the Media Player addon for GMOD currently uses, yeah definitely.
(Adding a note for everyone else’s reference that this was apparently how they used to function before the steam browser broke & the devs had to redo the media players as a result).
