Over the last few days or so, I have been making the Poolrooms (I’ve also made the Backrooms, but forgot to take screenshots of that). The layout of said Poolrooms is completely off the top of my head.
The very first screenshot of the Poolrooms - there was nothing to the left or the right of the arches at the time of taking this screenshot.
Got the main “tunnel” complete.
Started developing more rooms (some with deeper pools) after the main "tunnel was complete.
Blocked-off archway as there was nothing beyond it at the time of taking the screenshot.
Added some windows to let in some “natural” light into the rooms. This is what I built beyond that blocked-off archway in the previous screenshot.
My avatar on the wall opposite to the Poolrooms entrance.
Adding some detail such as this metal grating in the pool’s floor.
Early development of another room.
I included a few one-way walls in here to confuse many who enter this area.
Another room with natural light seeping through.
Additional detail to the main tunnel area by adding more windows in - it also shows the contrast between the natural light and the warmer lighting I’ve used around the rooms.
The same area, but taken in the 32:9 aspect ratio. My framerate didn’t like this much.

this looks absolutely fantastic!! everything is like. positioned so perfectly and aesthetically nice i love backrooms stuff, this is so COOL!!! my only suggestion is making water less green (or more clear) (: can’t wait to see more!!

Yeah, I’ll probably add a little more blue to it. The reason I made it a little bit green in the first place is because the lighting from the lights has a slightly warm colour to it. It does, however, look a little more cyan in the natural light.

Built another room. This time, a relatively large room which includes a pathway going over the pool.
A small “bridge” over the pool.
A deep section leading to a partly-submerged tunnel.
Some more angles of the area.
A small, shallow pool in one of the corners.
I also mentioned in my first post that I have also done the Backrooms, but I forgot to take any screenshots at the time. I now have some screenshots, so here they are.
The room where you spawn.
Some random rooms.
You’ll never know what you can find in the Backrooms. Here, is a random block.
Black mould!
The exit?
Open?
Err… Okay then.
The way down to the Poolrooms.

I have a couple of points of constructive feedback based on what I’ve seen
- The carpet is maybe a bit too much on the green side, obviously this is not helped by that particular material having colour baked in to it from the start, drop ceiling and beige wallpaper is fine though!
- The classic backrooms corridors themselves are sometimes symmetrical or follow a similar pattern when they should be more disjointed and haphazard
Kane Pixels’ Backrooms miniseries is good inspo if you’re in need of ideas — Some scientists rip a tear in the fabric of reality to a pocket dimension, which leads to conspiracies and cases of missing persons skyrocket, with a full feature length movie slated to be in production

Yeah, I’ll more than likely do that in the future. I’m gonna keep the existing rooms as they are, and add more disjointed/haphazard rooms in the future. I might even add the doors leading to the Poolrooms into said rooms.
