Synchronizing media players using connections

So, I wanna build a public media library where people can discover music, silly videos, and get literature recommendations. I have a question regarding connections (IO?), as I am relatively new to furnishing my own condo.

I have – for the time being – two VCR media players where players may insert their selection, which will then pop up on various screens. This works relatively flawlessly, if the player uses the VCRs. However, if a player throws a “Physic-al media” item at the various screens strewn about (currently three), it forces them into a new channel where only the audio plays. Is there any way for me to either limit the audio range of the screens OR ensure that the screens show the desired video?

I see there are some old suggestion posts, dating back to a decade ago, and some nearly-so – maybe an easier way has been added since?

You can solve both problems with “Block” and “Media” volumes.
Here is a video of me fumbling to set up such a fix. I didnt do it in the video but you can also lock the volume to stop yourself from accidentally clicking it in build mode. You can not hide the volumes without disrupting their function.

Certain TV objects like the TV wall have a larger vacuum for physics-cal media in the center which I demonstrate, make sure to have enough exposed volume to block it.

(also I don’t know how to direct embed the video here. and despite being 24 mb the forums say its bigger than the 32 mb limit for webm uploads)
