I don’t know if it’s just me, but I sometimes find it difficult to determine what turnstiles are open or closed during the heat of the moment, particularly when using adrenaline, since the black doesn’t really contrast well with the dark grey.
One way to improve this would be to actually light up the turnstiles, so the red X would light up when the turnstile next to it is closed:
