I’ve been playing and hosting my condo for a bit now and it’s been a vibe just hosting and chilling with all the people that stop on by, but I’d really really like if sooner or later the game could integrate some way to watch streams in the media player. I’m usually drawing while I host and would gladly livestream me sharing it to anyone who would like to watch while in my condo. I’m sure this might be difficult to implement, but idk. If there’s a way I could get around doing this or something I’d love to know!
There have been talks about this over the years, but ultimately, they have decided that they won’t be doing it. I can’t exactly remember why though. Still, you are getting my vote, because I would also quite like to see this

I could’ve sworn that was an option at some point in time. Maybe I imagined it. Yes, absolutely, though! In an age of Discord screen sharing, the media player needs all the options it can get honestly

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, media players also need support for more open source codecs, given the continued enshittification of youtube
In order to be able to watch livestreams in media players, the built-in Chromium engine needs to be updated to support HLS (HTTP live streaming)
Support for Internet Radio also needs to be extended beyond just the Carnivorous Potted Plant, for example a basic radio item that can do just that and nothing else
