Some more post processing ideas

DOF - Depth of field, which blurs your vision around whatever you’re looking at

Blur - A complete blurring of the player’s screen.

Motion Blur - Blurs movement. (definitely needs an toggle in graphics settings to disable :nauseated_face: )

Letterboxing - Puts cinematic black bars on top and bottom (or sides!) of screen.

No idea why anyone would want a total blur but I’m all for more options, so sure, why not?

Explosion discombobulation? Losing conciousness? Underwater? Lost your glasses? It’s not like it would just be a toggle, you could set the intensity with a slider like the current ones. There’s also I/O FadeIn/FadeOut so you can make transitions with them.

Ah, yeah, didn’t think about scenarios like that. Those all make sense (except making for losing your glasses, that’s a bit weird lol)

Would also love a “scanlines” style effect or, stronger TV Static!!

I was thinking of the scrapped idea with Mr. Friendly in Half-Life, where getting hit by the creature would knock Gordon’s glasses off. From what I remember they couldn’t get the blur to work back in 1998.

Wow. That’s actually really funny. Now I really want someone to mod that into the game. lol
