As the options have a single player option, I see no reason for the melons or bonus round to be viable seeming as you don’t get anything for them when playing alone. So having a bonus round is meaningless and a waste of time.
What if I want to do “Map Melon Collector” or "Melon Muncher’ achievements?
I guess it would be better to allow players enable and disable melons/bonus round before creating Single player Ballrace.

I’d like for the Melon collectibles to work in Singleplayer in general, not sure why they’re even disabled in the first place.
