Remove AFK Timer for Theater

I think we can all agree that its annoying to have to constantly wiggle your mouse around or hit keys on your keyboard just to earn EXP for the Theater. I’d like to suggest that the AFK time be removed for the theater only so that we can comfortably sit and watch stuff without needing to constantly fiddle with shit. Currently it takes about 65 seconds for it to kick in, so if it could be removed, or the time to trigger it be least significantly increased, It would certainly help.

This, or a key prompt like the one in the casino to make sure players are still there.

This would be a problem for just normal plaza xp seeing as people would just idle in the theater to get both types of xp, i think a prompt like gryphon said would be a better solution.

Theater XP should only be given while in a theatre room if there is a video actively playing, IMO.

I think it’d be cool to have like, a meter instead of a prompt. Imagine having a bar, and it slowly drains over time, and moving your camera around a bit fills it up rapidly. It’d be on the HUD somewhere, preferably something small and easy to look past. That way it wouldn’t be as invasive as a prompt, and wouldn’t be super inconvenient to refill the bar. If the bar runs out, of course, that would put you in AFK.

the key prompt is going to be more reliable at stopping people from going afk and using macros but it’s more annoying while you’re trying to watch a video. That bar idea is easily countered by anyone who wants to subtly use macros.

Definitely no. The HUD for this game should be small and simple. Having a permanent bar would be awful.

Never said permanent. I imagine it would only be on when you’re in a theatre. In my personal opinion though, I think it’d be nice to have a visual indicator of how long you have until you’re AFK elsewhere as well. Sometimes you’re just chillin’, laid back, watching chat, and you of course don’t want to AFK.

I wouldn’t want the pop-up either. That would get annoying…
Watch video… “Are you there?”… fumble around to hit the appropriate key, while missing part of the video… rewind/restart video.

I think it would be best if the theater only gave theater xp and not plaza xp.
That way, you can afk and watch a show or movie with no hassle and people aren’t abusing it for plaza xp.
