This is probably my #1 gripe with Virus Horde gamemode, and kind of a nitpick all things considered, but still something I don’t like about the gamemode. The game has a bad habit of spawning zombies directly on the player; it makes doing hitless runs a lot harder than they need to be, and it’s a generally unfun mechanic. I understand not wanting the players to effectively block off the map with smart positioning, but there should be some system in place to where zombies won’t spawn in a radius near the player. I’m no dev so I can’t determine what a good radius would be, but something notable would make the gamemode a bit more enjoyable overall.
EDIT: After playing Virus with some other people, this is also an issue in the base Virus gamemode. Go figure. I think my argument still stands here; Virus definitely has a deeper issue of “zombies die too fast in high-player lobbies due to the strategy being kind of obvious” but it’s frustrating losing cause someone literally spawned inside of you (or otherwise an absurdly close place).
