Public Beta: Casino Phase 2

Same as with Silver Saddles, Bingo seats always display that the “Game is busy or full.” Even when a new game is just starting.

The bingo game i was in went down and ended the round still like it did when the agc crashed before the update, and ended then restarted the bingo game. this fix might not have solved the issue.

[build ID 9445936.]

What I expected to happen

The bingo game continue where it was before the crash.

What happened

the bingo game ended and started a new round.

i believe that blackout on bingo should be given a bigger payout than a regular one although it’s the last chance.

The sleeping cap is a bit too large on default playermodels.

This happened to me pre-patch so I’m unsure if this was fixed, but it’s not mentioned in the patch notes; getting a natural blackjack in Blackjack rewards the achievement for Video Blackjack instead.

Seemingly random vertex explosions in the plaza, but I’ve also had it happen in the casino. My FPS tanked whilst looking at the water with this bug occurring in the last image.

The Ball Race orb, RC orb, and golf ball aren’t pushed by fans.

Ice Moon’s description has a typo (should say spacious instead of spacius):

I don’t think this is new to 0.16, but I’ll report it here since I’m still on the beta. Normal maps on textures become inverted when world align is enabled and the object is rotated around 0 degrees Z, causing things like pebbles to look instead like tiny craters in the terrain.

Left: WA off, Right: WA on

Chips from previous Roulette games sometimes stay on the table.

There’s a hole in the corner of the casino between the monorail door and planter. TBH I’d greatly appreciate if that entire front wall was just demolished completely and remade, though, because it bothers me so much that the doors are off center by like 3 meters.

The game help popups sometimes don’t appear for tabletop casino games (poker, roulette, etc). I’m not sure if I did anything specific that caused this to happen, but in this instance I had to rejoin the server for them to appear.

There is a very slight gap between the two doors on Elevator Door 2.

Looks like a bad graphics driver. Have you tried updating your graphics driver’s recently?

I’ve noticed on Roulette that if the ball lands in a slot on the roulette wheel and ever so slightly clips on the number to its LEFT, it counts for THAT number even if the ball is contained mostly in the slot you would believe it’s in. This does not happen if it barely lands on one to the RIGHT. It always seems to favor the left.

Potentially related, while I know that random distributions absolutely can (and will) contain repetitions, holy shit does this game like 13. This was one continuous game and both times it landed on 13, and in previous games, it seems like 1 in 4 times it landed on 13.

Spins are at 0:33 and 1:34

Roulette’s number is determined ahead of time. The wheel is just a calculated animation. I believe the math equations are a bit off in this instance.

I did have a feeling the number was pre-determined rather than animation and physics determining the spot it’s on. That being said, holy shit this game really really loves 13 from my experience.

The terrain at the far end of Ice Moon opposite to Jupiter has inaccurate collisions.

Failing the AFK check should refund you your units. Bet 10k units on bingo, and the AFK check popped up and didn’t want to register the proper keypress, so I ended up losing the units.

Being honest, if the metal detector’s Distance value updates basically instantaneously, then the dot on the map should as well. In its current state its pretty jarring having it suddenly blink a half second later while the metal detector’s beeping is going insane.

I believe I might have seen this reported already, it seems the arrows for relative scaling are bugged. I was trying to scale down the Z axis yesterday and noticed the object wouldn’t scale no matter how much I tried, instead the arrow would move away from the origin point rather than shift its size. Scaling up worked fine.
I see the beta seems to still be up for now, I’ll try to do some more testing and update my post.

Edit: Well it doesn’t seem like I’m able to replicate this now, maybe I was editing so much I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing. I do recall the object being a canvas wall rotated 90 degrees on the Y axis, but so far the gizmos are behaving as expected.

Only Disappointment is that the interior of the casino still doesn’t match the exterior…

Like most casinos really.
Exterior is often the most flashiest part to bring people in, while the inside is tasteful and quaint.

GPU drivers were up to date, but I did reinstall them on a whim and I’ve had no issues since.

Frankie’s Hot Dog Stand’s sizzling sound is audible from practically the entire plaza (other sounds can still drown it out).

Tabbing out of the game while playing Silver Saddles and then tabbing back in will not properly let you look around until you tab out again and then tab back in, in which case the mouse will move your camera normally.
