Proximity-based volume for media players

I’d like for media players in the condo to have distance-based volume, that is they would be quieter the farther away you are from them. That way we could have multiple videos/music playing at once with less audio overlapping.


Where would projectors put audio?

It’d also be neat to hear muffled audio if there’s a door/wall separating the room where the sound is coming from. A low-pass filter is usually pretty good at mimicking the effect.

They already have a system like this for players, so it should be easy to implement
