So hype for this arena to be more interesting to fight in- looks way better too! The newer, more saturated/cartoony style that’s been taking over recently is a great direction.

Yeah I’m hoping eventually nearly everything will be made more stylised (replacing those Fuse humans especially…) except for maybe Virus and Zombie Massacre (with Horror Hill being more cartoony). It makes the game feel more unique and have its own personality!

They put a screenshot of the new Virus map (theme park) on the trello and it’s in the cartoony art style and it actually looks pretty good (fitting? idk what the right word is) still

For sure, I think this is a pitfall that happens with a lot of “social space” games, they usually lack character and all of its identity comes from the players. Games like PSHome and VRChat come to mind, but TU is getting loads better in recent years with developing a nice unique style.
