As it currently is, certain models can sometimes blend into the environment, making it difficult to discern what you’re looking at. This is especially an issue on Frostbite, where most players’ default models, after blocking their workshop ones, are mostly white. I believe having a red outline around enemies would help a lot with visibility.
Agreed, it is very similar to Super Smash Bros. 4 & Ultimate’s team players outlines when it comes to team colors.
e.g. If you’re on the blue team, you’ll be able to see the player’s team color outlines. While on the other team (the red team), their team player’s outlines will be disabled by default.
If you are playing alone against everyone, good luck to you; player’s outlines from individual players are turned off by default. If you’re in a team-based gameplay mutators, and when you have a group of 4, you can see team player’s outlines on the screen.
