F**k mah mac, I’m gettin’ parts to build a new PC soon! I’m just happy that I finally have time to build a new PC. Been busy as hell last couple months. I hated tryin’a play games on my mac. Even the ones that are compatible with mac don’t work very well coughGModcough. I guess I’ll post specs later. Because I’ll be excited, therefore making me want to post them. HELL YEAH! NEW PC!

It’s my first time building a whole PC from scratch, but I’ve worked inside them before. (haha) So, something relatively new, and relatively familiar in a way. I’ll probably start out with entry level gaming parts, as I don’t want to spend a TON of money right away, I’ll just upgrade later. BTW The mac that I’m actually typing on right now was my YouTube and Twitch watcher and stuff, still using it for gaming, but that wasn’t its initial purpose, I’m not that stupid.

Just remember to buy a big enough tower to have PLENTY of room to expand later. Same with the power supply and Mobo unless you play on upgrading those later as well!

Let us know how it goes!

Yes, I got the joke…

Don’t have anything for sure yet, but I’ll probably start with something like:
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB DDR3 RAM
1TB SSD (EDIT:) <-- Ummmmm, no.
GTX GeForce 970
Not sure what motherboard or case yet though. I’ll have full specs listed later when I get to it.

1TB SSD?!?!? Dam dude

Yeah, 1 TB for an SSD is bonkers.
But hey, if you’ve got the cash, then go for it.

If you have the cash to get that. Then you might as well get a HDD and get a better Graphics card

yea but those write speeds tho

Not much point in getting anything much higher at that point, unless you want to run things over 60fps and on a massive screen.

Personally, my GTX 980 does me just fine, but then, I prefer colour quality over FPS, so 60 frames is more than enough for me on a 1080p screen.

Oh, and I just thought about the fact that the new generation of GPU’s are just around the corner.
It’s probably a better idea to just skimp out on the GPU a bit today and wait for the good stuff later.

It might be a while, but it’s a better use of money imo.

Yeah… I guess.

Tell me about it.

Bought my 980, 2 weeks later for the same price I could have gotten a AIO 980, and then like 2 months later for the same price the 980TI came out pfft.

Ok everyone, the list of specs was listed in the original post. I’ve been so busy I haven’t even got to it yet… Maybe some procrastination too… Anyway, I am so happy to finally get this going. But, I won’t be buying the parts until probably the week of March 14th because I’m leaving for vacation this weekend.
