Movers not starting in an uploaded Zombie Massacre map after 0.18.3.0?

A Zombie Massacre map I’m working on uses movers (Simple, Path, and Train) pretty extensively. Prior to 0.18.3.0 they all started and stopped flawlessly both in the map editor and in private uploads.

After the update, the movers still work in the map editor and while using the playtest feature, but for whatever reason, if I play a private upload of the same map, none of the movers start. Everything else works properly as far as I can tell, including stuff fired in the same events that are supposed to start the movers. It’s just the movers that never start.

  • I want to emphasize that this is 100% something that was caused by the latest update. I have several versions of the map uploaded prior to 0.18.3.0 and I can verify that the movers worked 100% of the time in all of them prior to this update. If I play any of them now, the movers never start. So it is absolutely something about the update that caused this and not, like, user error.
  • This is also not exclusive to Zombie Massacre. I tried uploading the map as a Virus map and the movers also don’t work there.

I would have categorized this as a bug report but I’ve been unable to figure out why this happens and have tried replicating it in a separate debug map to no success. I’ve also looked over the patch notes to see if there’s any listed change that could’ve possibly caused this but I’m not really seeing anything.

However, this may sound stupid, but could you try placing a blank unhooked mover in the map and see if that makes the movers work again?

Just tried placing a blank, unedited Mover Simple in the map (and a few other Mover types when that didn’t work) but it didn’t seem to do anything. I sent you a DM with the map file.
