Model stretched and deformed when imported

i have a model using the workshop armature, with all the right bone names and whatever, but when i import it into the editor its stretched into a triangle shape. i looked up tons of times to try and fix this but i never find anything that helps, it seems like no matter what i do i cant find any solution and every time i try to make a skin that isnt a static one i just end up frustrated and give up and i really want to make my own models. i managed to make 2 models work somehow but i cant figure out how

i parent the model with the armature with automatic weights incase that helps or whatever

The scale of the model must be 1x1x1 while the origin must be at 0,0,0. Transformations of the model are not exported by Blender automatically and will be reset upon importing it to TU.
