Most people get into the spirit of things with minigolf, and I do realise some people do have connection errors, especially at the beginning of a game, but I think it’s a little unfair if people are away the entire game and everyone else is trying to have a nice game.
I understand we can’t have a ban thing in place in case people abuse it, but could we possibly have a vote kick ability, or an afk timer that would stop people just sitting there for 18 holes doing nothing?
I feel a little mean suggesting it, but would something like that be possible to implement?
Sorry if people have already suggested it, I hadn’t seen it anywhere, so thought I should maybe bring it up.
I’m sure that in the future there will be either a kick/vote kick feature or afk timer. At the moment though, there are a lot of other things being worked on, so it may be a while until this type of thing gets implemented. Great suggestion though!
I hope it could be implemented, although I know they do have a lot they’re working on at the moment for us all. Ah, I hadn’t heard any livestreams, so I wasn’t aware Mac had mentioned it. ^^’
If it is possible, and something they’re happy to do, then that would be lovely.
GMT had an AFK timer, and it worked out pretty well. Players considered AFK would be disqualified from payouts that hole if they didn’t return, the game wouldn’t check to see if they made it in the hole yet or not allowing everybody to progress, and those players could always return at any point to finish whatever hole is currently being played.
However, a vote kick/ban feature would be horrible to have in-game. If you’ve ever experienced being vote kicked/banned, you know that it is an altogether negative experience. Sometimes people do it because of your ping, and other times because they don’t want to play with/against you. Fortunately, vote kicking/banning is not being considered as a feature because it can be abused.
An AFK timer would be great. I have seen that many people do tend to either not putt for ages, being AFK or just not bothering going for the hole and hitting in other places on the course. This is needed. +1
