Media Players Should Support YouTube Shorts

As much as I personally dislike YouTube shorts, YouTube has automatically converted a lot of shorter videos to shorts which gives them a different URL. I was trying to play a meme that was a short in the bowling alley but it seemed to just do nothing. It didn’t add anything in the queue, didn’t change the screen at all.

If YouTube continues to move in this direction I think TU should support that.

Solution: Convert the URL

Eg:-
• https://www.youtube.com/shorts/{Video ID}
to:-
• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v={Video ID}

There are browser extensions that can do this automatically for you
