Make Less Weapons One-Shot (Smaller Models)

I’ve really been enjoying the SDNL beta, however one issue that’s been really holding me back from enjoying it at times is how easily and often I get one-shot. I know this can be prevented with armor most the time, but getting armor takes time and can get reduced pretty quickly.
There’s probably more I can’t think of at the moment, but the magnum, pirate gun, and phase zapper should all be two shot kills rather than one shot kills. I do understand they’re not super easy to land hits with, but it takes away from weapons that are supposed to one-shot or be overpowered (like the super weapons). I think also as a result, a number of rapid fire weapons feel less like a viable weapon choice and more like a finisher for anyone who picked up armor.
I’ve not seen anyone else comment on this so I don’t know how anyone else feels about it, but I’ve joined too many matches where someone with decent aim will repeatedly one-shot me with a flintlock and I can’t do anything about it.

EDIT: I did not realize that smaller player models spawned with less HP than standard models, since I had only used one model and didn’t expect it to change anything. After playing with a larger model that has 100 HP I had a much more enjoyable experience since pistols didn’t one-shot me, armor felt like a cushion rather than a necessity to survive, and I could properly react to being hit. I think it’s fine for smaller models to have less health, but 75 for the model size I had feels brutal with how many weapons one-shot at that threshold. I think 80 at minimum and 90 at max would work better.

Magnum, pirate gun, and phase zapper don’t actually one-shot, they do 75 damage, so they’re a two-shot for normal players. However, if you’re using a workshop model that’s smaller than default player size, you’ll spawn in with less health.
Can always get an armor pickup after spawning in too.

Wait really? That’s weird cause I thought all the player models were resized to be the same size, so even though my model is usually pretty small the proportions make it look much bigger when resized, if anything I should be an easier target lol

Yea if you’re getting oneshot, it’s probs your playermodel putting you at the oneshot threshold Max HP.

The only weapons that oneshot are sniper rifle (headshots only), rocket launcher, grenade launcher and chainsaw throw. All the non-super weapons aside sniper rifle cannot oneshot. Only a max of 75 - 90 damage (I forget what does 90 damage, but that’s the highest non-super weapon damage I’ve been able to deal)

That makes a lot more sense

I playtested a couple rounds really quickly with a larger playermodel and the 100 HP felt much better – I think I like the lower HP for smaller models in theory, but it kinda feels like it’s not really warranted? At least, not to the extent it is. I was consistently getting one-shot with a model that if anything felt bigger than most other’s since the models are resized

the problem is smaller models are also really annoying to fight against, since they have a smaller hitbox, and especially with how fast everyone moves in this mode.

I get that, I just think a flat 75 HP for models that are even just a little smaller than normal is too harsh

This. The health nerf is necessary so that small models don’t become meta. Annoying for normal people to switch off their usual model, but necessary so that sweaty gamers don’t ruin the fun for everyone

If anything tho I’ve been avoiding using smaller models because the health nerf is too harsh, sure I’m probably harder to hit but clearly not by much with how much more often I’m killed with smaller models

Not to mention theres a lot of models that are only a little smaller than average and still get the 75 HP
