Low quality textures until I'm close to them [0.18.0.0]

I’ve never submitted anything on this forum before so bear with my if my formatting isn’t very good.

I am having issues with many of the textures on game assets in TU, the resolution is super super low despite my graphics being maxed and having “-NOTEXTURESTREAMING” in my launch options.
The resolution improves when I get really close and/or zoom in on them, yet they’re still pretty blurry. It happens in condos and in the plaza. Workshop items/models and player canvases have perfectly fine resolutions and I have no issues loading them. A majority of my textures seem okay, but there are many that have issues.

My graphic settings are as follows:

Steps to Reproduce

I don’t know exactly how to reproduce the bug, since I don’t know what’s causing it.

What I expected to happen

I expect normal textures, even if performance suffers with “-NOTEXTURESTREAMING” enabled in my launch options.

What happened

The base textures in my game are still oftentimes blurry.

I have not tried reinstalling/repairing my game, I’m a tad bit worried about what would happen to my condo snapshots.

I’ve noticed this as well, and just chopped it up to the game using ALL of my VRAM on startup (since it does).

But I remember it being fine before, so this is definitely a recent change.

Try changing your shader setting to Medium instead of high.

Turning it to medium doesn’t immediately do anything, but turning it down to medium and back up to high seems to improve the base game textures.

Another issue I’ve encountered though, I’m not sure if it’s connected or independent is weird textures on workshop models on NPCs in my condo. I’m only posting images of it here because I think it just happened after reducing and then increasing shader settings.

Yeah my VRAM is constantly maxed but I expect that with all my graphics maxed, maybe not on plaza though…

That looks like some default normal map is being applied to the characters wrongly. I’ll look into this. We have made some major changes to the NPCs in the next update though.
