Thank you so much for playing the beta. We’ve gotten lots of feedback already and are ready to release the first patch for the public beta.
Lots of changes for this patch! We aim to improve gameplay based on your feedback and things we generally observed over the weekend.
Overall Changes
- Reduced max players from 16 to 12
- Increased intermission time by 2 seconds
Dragon Changes
- Tail Whip Overhauled
- Dragon’s tail swipe now stuns the Knights for 2 seconds, while stunned, the Knights cannot press the button
- Increased tail whip radius
- Halved Dragon tail swipe animation duration
- Added sound/visual feedback for tail swiping Knights
- Dragon’s tail swipe pushes Knights back a little more
- Adjusted bite radius to be slightly better
- Adjusted Dragon collisions to allow Knights to jump over the Dragon
- Slightly decreased Dragon bite duration
Knight Changes
- Added crosshair feedback for when you can press the dragon
- When scared, Knights sprint all of their current stamina
- Increased jump power of knights
- When being bit by the Dragon, the camera follows your ragdoll for a second then turns you into a ghost. You instantly turn into a ghost when pancaked, though
- Slightly increased speed of Knight scare animation
- Knight crosshair is now hidden if you are taunting, scared, or stunned
- Knight ragdolls now stay for the entire round
Map Changes
- On Amphitheatre, moved the Dragon spawn points outside the tunnel area and placed a gate in front of it
- Added sound feedback for when you can press the Dragon
Birb Changes
- Birb now has sparkle and tweet sounds
Ghost Changes
- Reduced ghost head bob effects a little
- Ghost movement gravity increased for better controls
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Ghosts getting stuck in the ground while pancaked
- Fixed player names not showing up when a player disconnects
- Fixed last round not playing end music
- Fixed scoreboard freaking out when there’s a lot of players (hopefully)
- Fixed an issue where if you crouch and then taunt, the animation won’t play and you’d be stuck crouching until you press crouch again
- Fixed being able to jump while taunting
- Fixed being able to bite/roar and jump as Dragon
- Fixed items being stuck mid-air (this was due to knights holding items during round reset)
- Fixed where Knights could press the button while under the Dragon (this was checked for, but the check needed improvement)
- Fixed Dragon being able to stand in places where they are not supposed to be on Throne Room and Amphitheatre
- Fixed Ghosts from being able to go through the wooden panel walls in Throne Room
- Fixed some lightmap issues on both Throne Room and Amphitheatre
- Fixed the “reconnecting you to lobby” HUD message only showing up for the hosts and none of the clients
- Fixed Knight payouts not paying out the correct ranks
